For Sale: Classic boombox "ghetto blaster" style cassette recorder player in near time warp condition. Made around 1988. Sony calls this their Cassette Corder with TranSound.
Cleanest boombox I have ever found, probably stored in someones closet for the last 30 years. Working perfectly on AM, FM, FM stereo, and cassette tape features. Tested on Play, Record, Rewind, Fast Forward, and Pause. No issues. Speed sounds dead on correct. Sound quality is really really good for a analog tape playback. Excellent stereo imaging, sounds like Sony is working a little "audio magic" into the circuitry. Good bass, treble, etc.
This features a 3 band equalizer (tone controls). All controls working correctly with no static or scratchiness when adjusted. FM stereo indicator light is working. Excellent reception on both FM and AM. Original telescoping metal antenna is nice and straight. Battery compartment looks brand new and never used.
