For Sale: Vintage 1990's Toshiba Satellite laptop with a 486 DX2-50 CPU and 8MB RAM.

Appears to be in working condition with some minor issues: NiCad battery pack is not charging, 3.5" floppy drive does not read disks- just makes some noise when you insert a disc. Missing a rear cover as seen in photos. Otherwise everything else currently seems to be working- the Accupoint control stick and buttons are good. All the keys on the keyboard are working. The STN color LCD has good color- note this is NOT a TFT color screen and is not as fast as a TFT, and looks different.
Microsoft Office with MS Word 6 is installed and works well, lots of other programs but all untested. Some software may not work but everything I tried was fine.
It's pretty clean. No damaged or broken parts are evident. Includes the original Toshiba AC adapter, two untested 3.5" floppy discs, and manual/paperwork for the Toshiba Card Manager. Sold as a vintage collectible, not sure how long the hard drive will continue to work but as of today (6/22/24) it's fine with no signs of any issues- have booted about 30 times in the past few weeks.
