This boots to Radio Shack Model III Basic. Programs are entered in Basic or loaded/saved from optional cassette deck or optional 5.25" 180K floppy discs. Computer has been carefully tested and found to be 100% reliable loading programs created 40 year ago on 40 year old cassette tapes. YouTube video taken to demo working condition will share on request.

All the keys have been tested and are working well. The display is pretty sharp, the brightness and contrast controls are working correctly. If you look closely you can see a tiny bit of screen burn, doesn't cause any issues. Good power switch, good reset switch.

When found the computer worked fine but the RIFA safety capacitor had failed These older TRS-80 computers have a power supply that uses a safety capacitor- one that usually reaches the end of it's life and fails with a loud SNAP! and some smoke coming out the back of your computer. I JUST REPLACED this capacitor with a brand new one on 2/25/24.

Some minor wear on the cabinet, overall pretty clean. No apparent damaged or missing parts.
