Epson Equity I+ - 286 COMPUTER - 5.25" floppy drives, powers up

$175.00

For Sale: This vintage 1980's computer does not show a lot of wear and appears complete and undamaged.

Demo video of the computer being powered up here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mewQ6exLH3k

Monitor shown not included, being offered separtely.

When power on it beeps once and responds to keyboard. Searches for boot disk and red light comes on both 5.25" drives when searching. Green power light is good. Monitor displays RAM counting up until it reads "640 KB OK".  After it fails to find a boot disk display reads "Non-System disk or disk error. Insert system diskette into drive A: and strike any key when ready"

If you then press a key on the keyboard it repeats the process and shows error message again.

Overall pretty clean and shows very little wear. Internally the computer looks almost new. Has an ISA Hercules video card installed.

None of the boot disks I tried worked but don't think I have any that were 360KB which I think is what the drives require. Drives may be good, may be bad, or may need cleaning. Drives included as-is.

In addition to the Hercules video card there is what I believe is a rare US Robotics ISA modem with dip switches and a volume control on the badk, see photos.

Additional higher resolutions photos may be available.

Send your zip code and city for a shipping quote - should be between $14.99 and $36.99 if you are in the USA (May 2024)
